Accelerometers and gyroscopes are everywhere - in cars, phones, robots, drones and in almost every electronic device that moves. However, mass-produced positioning sensors are reaching their performance limits. Zero Point Motion develops a chipset that allows highly precise navigation for the next wave of automation in vehicles and industrial applications. It is based on optical instead of capacitive measurement and is up to 10’000 times more precise than current mass-produced inertial sensors. The photonic technology enables military-grade positioning, indoors and outdoors, independent of GPS for industrial and consumer products that need affordable components.
