Verity

Verity has established itself as the world’s leading provider of autonomous indoor drones having conducted hundreds of thousands of fully autonomous flights. Verity has developed a unique system of autonomous drones that interact with each other. The failsafe seamless orchestration of these drones has been validated in over 100 venues around the world. They have been used in no-drone restricted zones including airports and stadiums, have flown above the heads of global stars such as Metallica and Céline Dion, and are protected by a large patent portfolio. The system is now being applied to the fast-growing warehouse automation sector with clients such as IKEA. Drones control stock and identify empty space or misplaced items. This reduces costs and human errors while improving workplace safety, and provides valuable insights within the industrial workplace. Verity was founded by Prof. Raffaello D'Andrea, an expert in dynamic systems and controls. In 2012, he had a successful exit when his previous startup Kiva Systems was sold to Amazon for USD 775 million, Amazon's second-biggest acquisition until then.
