The Interconnect Crisis: Why Datacenters are Stalling

Modern datacenters are facing a fundamental physics wall. While AI progress drives an exponential demand for computing power, the links connecting these processors (interconnects)are not keeping pace. These links allow hundreds of thousands of processors to exchange data rapidly.

Currently, interconnect speeds grow significantly slower than the processors themselves. This disparity leads to expensive idle times where powerful GPUs sit waiting for data to arrive.
