Yamo has raised funds from Verve Ventures, Ringier Digital Ventures and b-to-v Partners.

yamo is the first organic baby-food brand in Europe using high-pressure processing (HPP) and relying on a direct-to-customer sales strategy. It caters to parents that want the healthiest food for their children. yamo’s HPP technology preserves vitamins, taste, and texture resulting in a puree that is fresh and tastier than the incumbents offer. Due to the direct-to-consumer strategy yamo gains a deep understanding of the customer’s needs and can thanks to that adapt its product portfolio rapidly. “Baby food is a large target market dominated by big brands that have not been able to innovate for decades in terms of product offering” says Susanne Schorsch, Investment Manager at Verve Ventures.

The funds raised will help yamo to expand its international footprint and its product range.
