Seervision has raised CHF 3 million in a Seed round from investiere, Wyss Zurich Center and high-profile business angels. investiere’s contribution amounted to CHF 600’000.

The ETH spin-off Seervison fully automates multi-camera video production. This means that real-time events such as football games can be shot without any human intervention. The image recognition software tracks the players and the robotic cameras follow them – without guidance by a human operator. The system is able to create broadcast-quality videos in many different environments, not just sports productions but also conferences and remote television sets. This unrivaled technology allows production companies to significantly reduce costs. Seervision’s system is already used by key clients. Michael Blank who leads investiere’s investment team explains why he picked Seervision: “This system is a unique fusion of software and hardware capabilities that outperforms human operators under real-world conditions. It is made possible by proprietary technologies in computer vision and predictive movement control.”

The foundation for Seervision was laid 2014 in ETH Zurich’s Laboratory for Automation, the company was founded in 2016.  Seervision was accepted into accelerator Wyss Zurich. The funds raised will help accelerate Seervision’s go-to-market strategy.
