RetinAI has raised CHF 2.3 million from Verve Ventures and b-to-v Partners.

RetinAI is a software startup based in Bern. It develops tools to organize and analyze health data from the eyes, aiding doctors and scientist with unique data analysis supported by artificial intelligence. One module of the software improves the image quality of eye scans. This is licensed to manufacturers of scanners. The whole software is clinically validated in hospitals and already shows the same skill in detecting eye diseases as specialized eye doctors. “RetinAI has trained its algorithms on one of the best-annotated and largest datasets in the industry”, explains Romeo Bütler, Verve Venture’s investment manager responsible for the case. With this funding, RetinAI will accelerate the certification of its solutions.
