Qnami has raised CHF 2.6 million from Quantonation, investiere, ZKB Startup Finance and High-Tech Gründerfonds. investiere contributed CHF 1 million to this round.

Qnami was founded in November 2017 with the vision to leverage quantum technologies to create a new standard for high precision sensors. Qnami manufactures quantum sensors that are able to measure magnetic fields at the nanoscale. The manufacturing of these sensors out of synthetic diamond is Qnami’s core competence. The company is developing a complete system consisting of a microscope, its quantum sensor, and software to interpret the data. In a first step, the system is aimed at research laboratories and semiconductor manufacturers, allowing them for the first time to measure components at a nanoscale level. In the long-term, the technology is aimed to become applicable for industries such as medical imaging or automotive.

“The founders are four leaders in the field of Quantum Physics perfectly complementing each other along the dimensions of the product “, says Svenja Spanuth, investiere’s investment analyst responsible for the case.
