Kristin M. Myers is an associate professor of mechanical engineering at Columbia University in the City of New York, which is ranked the 3rd best University in the US. She studies the material behavior of biological soft tissues with a focus on pregnancy Kristin has won the Presidential Early Career Award (PECASE), the highest honor the U.S. government gives to outstanding young scientists and engineers. Her work has been featured in MIT Technology Review, National Public Radio, PBS NOVA online, and in the Childbirth episode of the Netflix series “Sex, explained!”.
